So the Truck has about 41000 miles on the 5.9L V8 Automatic & has a rattle coming from where the trans & motor meet up. now here's the part I know isn't good....if I put pressure (light to moderate in park or neutral) on the what I think is the trans side cover, I can get the rattle to change pitch. The truck still moves & can be shifted into 4 wheel drive(no dash indicator light), but I know this isn't a good thing & would like any ideas on what's going on...with something more elaborate then "your trans is screwed" please. It could be the cover is just loose or something else is laying against it at some point.... Something like that will be next to impossible to determine online.
