Default Aftermarket XM

I have a portable XM unit that I move from my 05 Ram to my work truck, a mixer. When I went to install the inline FM modulator I ran into a little problem. What's up with the antenna plug on these Infinity systems? Is there some type of adapter to run with the FM modulator? Any help would be appreciated as I've done several searches with nothing specific on this subject.

And while I have your attention, are there RCA jacks under the black plate on the back of the unit and if so how do you get that plate off?

hmm i swear i posted in this while i was at school today and it didn't post??.. w/e

yes you need antenna adapters, MET40cr30 would be the part number for both that you need. it's a kit with both. if you can't find that you can buy them individually, met40cr10 and met40cr20. part numbers are from METRA electronics.

Thanks Ben that's exactly what I was looking for. Do you know anything about the second half of the question having to do with RCA jacks?

none of the xm units have RCA jacks built into the unit. certain docks come with RCA jacks taht plug into the dock but never directly into the unit itself. and that's only for home kits... never for the car.

Actually I meant the Infinity unit in the truck. There is a plate on the back that is covering up something and I can't get it off, just wondering if there are jacks behind the plate.

Do you mean as opposed to Sirrius? Or something else? We get crappy radio reception in my area and I really like the talk radio options...hey, I'm old, what can I say.
