Default Upgrades for newbies

After having a 2007 1500 Hemi ThunderRoad, I finally took the plunge and installed a 57 series K&N cold air intake. I am frankly shocked at the sound difference. I have read that others heard much better sound, but I would have never imagined this. Pictures here if anyone is at all interested, but I'm sure everyone has seen this 100 times:

I guess the next question is what next? I assume exhaust. Can anyone suggest an exhaust/muffler that would be bolt on and easy enough to install for a newbie like myself? I'm not super interested in something obnoxiously loud, but something with a bit of rumble would be nice. I have a 6 month old baby that drives to work, and I prefer not to wake her up

Any suggestions? Again, something bolt-on-easy would be preferred.

Personally, i have a magnaflow SI/DO. Its not REAL loud but has a nice rumble to me anyway. Im sure you could simply get a SI/SO for it that has the same length as stock for easy install.

I think the Magnaflow has a nice sound as well. I am going to do a SI/SO and use the stock piping, just replacing the muffler only. The stock pipe is very nice - mandrel bent even...

Flowmasters seem to be louder than most, especially the 2 chambers. I have not heard the Corsa version yet, but it is pricey...

That K&N looks tight....

Is there a specific Magnaflow model I can look at? They have quite a large selection on their website.

Well I had the part# but do not any more for some reason....

Anyway, any good muffler shop should be able to fit one for you if they carry that brand. Dynomax might be good, too.

There was a post on here that someone had regarding new upgrades they did and he posted some good pics of the muffler using the stock pipes. Let me see if I can find it...

If you look at your muffler from underneath you can see if it is an offset in or center in, and an offset out or center out. That will help if you call some muffler shops in your area. Let me look for that thread...

I could not find that dang thread.....BUT there are multiple threads here that discuss muffler choices, etc......check your exhaust layout and call some local muffler shops to discuss.

I love my Corsa cat back system. Cost $45 to get it installed.

I would go with a magnaflow 3" si/3"so so that you can retain your low end tq plus enhance your top end performance.. the 12279 or 12579 would work.... I use to run the 12579 beacause it was very quiet compared to a flow 50 I use to run..but growled deeply when you layed into it....

I have the magnaflow, and I love it. Has a good rumble, but not loud in the cab.

Is this something that is bolt on or would I need to take it to a shop to have it welded?
