when i rub my nail across the scratches i can feel them. They are deep enough to feel but not extremely deep. The scratches were on the mirror when i bought it. What can i use to remove these scratches besides sanding it down or buying new mirrors? Any products that will work affectively? Thanks.

yeah that happens when the wife parks the truck

Plastic mirror... Yep I had them too... I just rough sanded the plastic down. It shows the sanding marks but it is less obvious that there was a scratch, more like the texture has been worn off.

I suppose you could by a new mirror $$$ though.

Sand and paint? Being it is slightly textured you will know. Have you looked for mirror covers?

Have you tried any course rubbing compound yet? Get the white off first, then deal with the texture after that

Those chrome covers that you put up were sweet. I might think about getting some tow mirrors since I see that there are chrome covers for them.

I'm not sure really if you could do anything without doing some sanding on it.
I'd just do what Grey-Ghost said. That would probably be easiest.
