Just make sure that the paint less dent repair person really knows what they are doing! I put a dent in my moms Chevy and the guy said no problem! 30 minutes later he put about 25 little dents in it trying to get the one dent out! It looked like he used a little punch and the dent now looked like the inside of a golf ball and he chipped the paint! It cost $550 at a body shop to fix his Fu#$ up!

But as you can tell I don't fix my dents! I have one in my rear bumper! Adds character!

Sorry to hear that about your truck. Try a painless removal. I work at Safeway, so I know how careful people can be with their baskets or even their cars!
Hate to say it, but your shop mustn't have known what they were doing.
On my truck I have a few dents in it. So bad was one, that the rear passenger door was replaced. Down through the bed just before the wheel well, it's pushed in pretty far, and started in the front passenger door.
I asked the place that I bought it at about getting the dents (mainly the ones in the tailgate) fixed. They wouldn't do it, but told me down at a local shop they could get it done for around $35. They took a Cadillac there with a big dent above the rear right tire. What the shop did was popped out the dent. (More than likely just used a suction cup type of device.) They then sand down the paint around that area, and repaint it, then apply the clear coat. If the shop is good enough they can do that. If not, then they must have to do what your shop offered to do.

I had a deer run into the side of my truck last week. I missed the mother deer and the baby deer smoked the side of my box lol. there a nice dent there now and some scratches. oh well... its only a truck I guess lol

I seen one guy order in a brand new truck. and before he left the lot he took his keys and scratched it all the way around the truck. it was a company truck and I guess he wanted to be the first one to damage it.....

Yeah, you guys are right.... it's a truck. I'm not going to worry about fixing a little ding. It wouldn't have bothered me as much if it happened while off-roading or hauling something - but a shopping cart?!?! It's almost embarrasing.

I like my truck looking brand new. Out here in PA we have a place called Dent Wizard (not sure if they are in you state) they have fixed several of my trucks, including this one and they do an awesome job, they are a paintless dent repair company. Check em out, they did my work for a good price and it turned out flaweless...

Exactly. At $40000, I'm going to baby my truck as much as possible.

Anyway, the same thing happened to me after only having my truck for a couple of months. I was admiring my truck in the driveway after washing it when I noticed a quarter sized dent in the right front panel. It looked like a door ding, which sucks, because I'm very careful on where I park. There's a car repair shop near me called "Abra" that does paintless dent repair for $75. I decided to try it and I'm glad I did. Man, they did a great job. When I got the truck back later that day, the dent was completely gone with no damage to the paint either. That was a year ago and the panel still looks great today.

That's the exact reason I palways park on the highest side of any parking lot. Cart roll down hill and much easier with a little wind present. I'm frickin **** like that..lol
