Default 20 inch tires? BFG

I currently have an 05 dodge ram with 20 inch rims. I have always had BFG AT's on my trucks. 285/65r20 I wanted to put these on this one, just checked prices, the best price I could find was $352 per tire without shipping on Tire Rack. WTF, is this right, does anyone know a cheaper place to get them. I really don't want to run anything but BFG AT. At this point I am looking at $1600 with mount and balance. My wife is going to have a fit...... please, any suggestions?

i know exactly how you feel ive been searching for weeks for some off road tires for my ram and let me tell you once you get into the bigger rim's the prices sky rocket i have 17's and the difference between a set for 15in rims and 17in rims is about 500$. Theres a site called www.tiretrends.com i think its canadian but you could get those tires for about 285$ per tire american so i guess it would just depend on how much the shipping is its the cheapest site ive been able to find so far

Sorry gidy, that's the 20" rims. You could buy a new set of 18" rims and tires for the price of tires at 20".

if you stick with the OEM size of 275/60-20 and go with a BridgeStone Revo (which get's better reviews then the BFG) is only $220 a tire

after searching.......

would the 285/65R20 fit comfortably on my 08 4x4 with a 2.5" leveling kit? stock tires are 33's. these are roughly 34.5" and just a hair over 11" wide.

If i were you i'd try to find a retailer close by, like some small shop and they will usually be able to give better deals.
