is anti-spin the same as limited slip
my 05 glove box sticker says anti-spin i was just wanderin if this ic considered limited slip also, i posted something a while back about my truck using oil, i topped it off again it is down another 1/4 on the dipstick but still in the safe side i am running royal purple 5w-20 and it does have the hemi tick it still has powertrain warranty just wanderin if u guys thought is was worth a trip to the dealer
hey thanks alot ,what kind of additive is every one using, do u know if i can get a new glove box sticker anywhere mine is getting crappy

I think we're merging two topics here:
1) The question of LSD vs. anti-spin -- Still needs an answer - I'm guessing, they're the same. Changing gear oil may require (dealer says yes) a "friction Modifier" for LSD.
2)He posted that after changing his engine oil to RP he's down a quart. I don't know if lxman1 was talking about an engine oil additive.

Nope, not worth the money for me to use RP when I will be following the manual for oil changes to keep my Lifetime powertrain warranty. I have heard of older engine start to burn oil when switching over. Not sure why.
I was referring to the differential and the LS additive.
The "anti-spin" is a clutch type limited slip unit that requires friction modifier additive when changing the fluid to keep the rearend from chattering when turning a corner.

Yes, the crappy stock LSD needs 4oz of friction modifier and when you add it, your supposed to do 4 or 5 figure 8 circuits to get it all mixed in with the other lube.
If the LSD still chatters on a turn, add a tad more.
That applies if you use the stock Mopar diff oil from the dealers.
Some oils do contain their own friction additives, so you do have to be careful.
I'm glad I've got rid of the stupid stock lsd and now don't have to worry about such stuff.
Hope this helps?
