You're probably thinking of the throttle body. I've never done one myself, but I have heard a few people around here talking about it. Take it off your truck when you clean it so all the gunk doesn't go into your engine.

Big +1 on the TB, along with the EGR probably the biggest MPG robbers on a Hemi.

You don't have MDS on your truck. MDS is the "Multi Displacement System" which is on the 06+ HEMI's. It shuts off 4 cylinders to help with fuel economy when the engine doesn't need them (basically while you're cruising down the road at a constant speed).

Well when you stomp on it, all 8 are working. It only does it when you would be wasting fuel just to run all 8 cylinders, for instance driving down the highway at 65 for miles. I have it on my truck and I've never had an issue with power.

Keep a clean air filter (a lot of people with oiled or foam filters forget this) and your tires properly inflated. Driving habit plays a huge role also...keep under 2000rpms in the city and stay around 65-70 on the highway. I'd do a tune up too, she may only have 33k miles but she's also 4+ years old.
