As far as the 1500s, i wouldnt drive anything but the reg cab short box... the 2500s, thats a different story...

I love mine...its got a shorter wheelbase, you can tuck those trucks into tighter spots on the trail.

If i were you, go with the hemi, mines the 4.7, and that is my only regret, but still love it nonetheless.

According to your sig, noticed you have a bit of a lift and some bigger rubber...

Mine... 6in susp on 35s (for now)...

but i love how short and stocky the regular cabs look when lifted...

Thanks greg...

Automatic tranny... although, has the 4x4 on the floor, which I am more of a fan of than the electronic 4x4.

as if I wouldn't post in a RCSB stick shift thread lol...

broski check out the sig. 08 4.7L with the getrag 238 trans. and my pops has an 06 4.7L with the g238. both great trucks. 08 has more power but you won't regret 4.7L and the six speed.

by 'standard'... do you mean manual transmission?

If so, i think youre right, myself, i havent seen a manual hemi 4x4 in the regular cab shortbox... now that i think of it.

Love my reg cab short bed. Only drove one with the hemi so i have no comparison on the 4.7L

Mines all stock but the 4x4 with 20" rims makes the truck look & feel tall

I kind of miss the 4x4 shift lever on the floor. When I bought my 2500 last year (May'07), it came with the electronic 4x4 shift although the sales literature said the floor shift lever was standard. It no longer was an option as of early '07.

I was a little in shock, LOL.... after years with my 4x4 Ramcharger and Power Ram but I've gotten used to it.
