Car Audio
Alright well i need some help with a sound system for my '04 dodge ram - let me know what you think i should but it in im looking for all new speakers subs and in-dash 7 inch screen
well, i dont know anything about in dash screens, but ill tell you what im putting in mine. I am a die hard Alpine fan, so my setup is going to be as follows.. head unit= Alpine iDA-X100 (ipod unit), front kick panels=Alpine Type-R 6.5" Components, rear kick panels=Alpine Type-R 6.5" coaxials, the type-R speakers need alot of power to sound as awesome as they do, so I will be amping those with an Alpine PDX-4.150, for subs ill have two Alpine Type-S 10" subs in a box under the back seat and they will be amped by an Alpine PDX-1.1000.

I am basically copying what i have in my durango currently. The only differences are that in my durango i have Type-S in the back, the front and rears are not amped, and the head unit is the iDA-X001 which is the older version of the iDA-X100. It sounds phenomenal!
No matter what kind of sound system you end up getting, take this into consideration: do not underpower your speakers. speakers will blow out much easier being underpowered than they would being overpowered. not only that, they will not sound as good if they are underpowered.
