Oil change (whats your prefrence?)

8.60 for a mopar filter is way too much, they sell at walmart for like 4.50!
as for the valvoline synthetic, I used it because it was on sale in my wifes car and it made the engine noise so loud! I changed it out yesterday at less than 3000 miles because it was so loud and the oil almost was black!!! Dont know if that means anything but just based on that I'll never use valvoline synthetic ever again!

Sounds like eveyone is using mobil 1 synthetic in there rams. I honestly had no clue what kind was in my truck before i bought it used. I just went straight to LUBE-X to get the old stuff out and asked for a full service, I asked what they reccomended and they said Mobil 1 Synthetic so i've just been using that ever since. Its nice to hear that everyone else uses that oil. Im not to sure what filter is in my truck though. ill have to ask next oil change.

My truck has 103,000 miles on it, and I have always been a Valvoline guy, so I use Valvoline High Mileage Synthetic Blend along with a Purolator Pure One Oil filter. If it is cold or crappy out, I goto a great little Valvoline oil shop by my house and have them use the Purolator filter. Never had a problem or any bad noises from it ever. Also, about every other month Advance Auto Parts by me does a sale where I can get the gallon jug and the filter I like for like 18 bucks. 18 for that, then about another 8 or so for the other 2 quarts I need, and most of my oil changes are just about 30 bucks exactly.
