Oil change (whats your prefrence?)
Using exclusivley Mopar oil filters, have a case sitting on the shelf... Have been using Mopar oil, however it is more of a inconvience for me to have to go out to my dodge dealership than to pickup something from a local auto oil supplier.
What kind of oil are YOU running & why?

I use Agip PC Synthetic, its about $7.16 a qt delivered to my front door. I use a mobil 1 oil filter because I havent seen anything better for that price. It filters down to a nominal 10 microns. I got 8k between changes but Blackstone labs states I could go for 13-14k. I am also out of my warranty so if your still in warranty, go 6k with synthetic. Just remember most oil filters will fail my friends, not the oil.

Used Mobil 1 oil for years, changed every 3k miles with either a Wix or Mobil 1 filter. Switched to Royal Purple in my Grand Cherokee with the High Output 4.7 about 14 months ago and found not only about a 2 mpg increase (also did both diffs at the same time with RP) but a slightly smoother sounding engine.
Went to RP in the Ram in April of this year (engine only, diffs not due yet) with about a 1.5 mpg increase and the same smoother running engine.
Changed to 6k changes to justify the cost, at 6k in the Jeep, the oil still looked real good.

5,000 miles on Mobil One syn
I would not argue with anyone who goes 15,000 miles on Mobil One
nearly all lube oils today are pretty good
Cummins officially recommends using conventional lube oil and changing it more frequently, but using syn lubricants in the gearbox and diffs
