Default Vibrations with bass system.

I was wondering if anyone else had added some bass to there QC's.

I just thru in 2000 worth of bass into my truck, and well, i wasnt totally surprised when it rumbles and vibrates the whole truck.

Has any one put money into the sound deadning matting?

seems to be a bit of a rumble in the doors, and my rear slider window, and off the trip computer.

I havent added any matting for the vibrations, I just turned the bass down "a little." I actually didnt notice it inside the truck--maybe just a hair, but I thought the inside sounded pretty good.. I noticed it much more when I was outside washing it. I turned it down about 2-3 settings and it seemed to still sound good on the inside, but there wasnt a noticeable (annoying) rattle on the outside. But, I dont have an elaborate system in the truck either...

ive found, if i just open the rear window slide, open about an inch it takes care of that rumble, but theres always going to be a few around, the storage pockets on the doors, seem to rattle, so ill put a wedge in there to stop the vibration. but when out side the truck, there doesnt seem to be much noise, since the truck is new,

Well look under my gallery and see what I have. My whole rear window flexes about an 2inches back and forth. My overhead computer along with the whole headliner bounces up and down and from the outside my whole truck sounds like a tin can. The mirriors vibrate like crazy and the vents behind the rear seat vibrate. Basically everything on my truck vibrates. I just order sound deadener though. 100ft2 for $130. As far as my system I got 2 alpine type r 12" subs, 2 500w alpine amps, kicker 700w amp for speakers with alpine speakers, soon to be type r components in the front, I got a cap and 4awg wire throught even under the hood.

im going to have to upload a pic of what ive done.... ive got the 40/ 60 rear seats, we took out the 40% and thru in a box fitting in tightly in the seat area, and 3 feet High.

Im running a 15" square, 1000 watt rms sub. thats it for now i think.i havent turned it on full blast, while outside of truck yet, so im not sure on my rattles outside of the cab.

It's gonna suck for you guys when your $20,000 truck falls apart for no good reason. Leave the high end stereos in the house where it's less likely to get stolen... and less likely to cause expensive damage.

Systems are just my hobby. It's kind of fun tearing apart your truck but trust me, I'm groing out of the big bass that is why I am building a box under the seat that makes the subs 150% quieter. Actually though these rams are very simple and theres not too much stuff that will get ruined.

A buddy of mine has an '06 mega cab and he swears by the Dynomat. He puts it under the headliner, in the doors, and pretty much anywhere he can.

If you knock on his doors on his truck, it feels like you are knocking on a solid piece of wood! Pretty cool stuff....
