Question exhaust?

What is the best way to improve sound and gain performance with my exhaust on 2008 hemi, I have seen some kits on ebay for around $200.00 with shipping, they give pipe for a duel exhaust with a flowmaster muffler, can I just install a flowmaster and keep the single exit pipes while gaining sound and power? any recomendations on the system without haveing to pay over $200.00 would be great

thanx

Any gains from a muffler will be VERY minimal and Flowmaster, while it sounds good, it generally not the best performing one.

i got a flowmaster single in dual out. it sounds awesome but didn't notice any gains in HP or MPG. switching motor oil gave me more gains in MPG. the flowmaster is dumped right before the axle and sounds brutal. if there is a vehicle parked within five spaces with an alarm, its going off. parking garages are fun. sets off alarms everywhere. the tone and rumble are great. the drone down the highway gets old but thats what the iPod is for!

Replaced factory muffler with a Borla XS Pro and love the sound without it being to loud. You just need to add a 18" piece of pipe to make up for the shorter muffler.

I'm going with Magnaflow when I get my exhaust done. I like that stainless and the warranty. Just look and a Flowmaster and a Magnaflow muffler. The Flowmaster is full of internal chambers, but with the Magnaflow you can see all the way through it. Seems to me the Magnaflow has a LOT better flow going on.

No it wont mess anything up. I had flowmaster with dual outlets that I got from ebay, the same ones u are talking bout, and they were nice. But I put on a glasspack from summit for 20 dollars and put the stock tailpipe on and I love it.

I got rid of the 3 mufflers and put in the magnaflow kit off of ebay (225) put platinum plugs in cleaned my k&n cai and have a throttle body spacer. the next day I drove from columbia sc to wytheville va (240 miles) and back on one tank of fuel. The light didn't even come on. 494 miles is what I had when I fueled up. running city i usually get around 380-400. I don't baby my truck either. I got the exhaust and air intake to hear it and I like to do just that. oh yeah I also run nothing but 93 octane and full synthetic oil.
