uspatriot, then why do u have a dodge? I think that dodge AND GM make the best trucks. Our last Ram made it up to 350,000 miles +.

I'll sell you my 07 qc hemi laramie 4x4 for 22k. as it sits with the tuner, tv, tool box, k&n cai, bed liner, magnaflow exhaust. I'd have to take my PENNSTATE tag off though

My dad has driven chevy's for the past 30 years. But his current 3/4 ton will be his last, because he is sick of spending money to keep it on the road.

I like my dodge but I have to agree the 07 gen of the silverados are much better. Dont buy a ram used, buy an 08 new since you can get the around 18000-21000

I think I've heard all of that word for word on a Chevy commercial before. And best coverage in America? Pretty sure Dodge's lifetime warranty one ups that. Preaching about Chevy's on a Dodge forum is gonna do nothing. We all own Dodge's for a reason, its the truck we like the best!

And to vwb5t, if you like the truck then go for it I say. I've got an 06 and I love it. Everyone else has pretty much covered the common issues. Only thing I can really add is that the seats in the 06+ trucks tend to stain pretty easily. I know mine do. Otherwise I don't have any complaints about my truck.

uspatriot can have his opinion but...............if he's that dead set on Chevy's, why does he have a Dodge avatar?

As for the question vwb5t posed, MAKE SURE you have either a Detroit or Auburn LSD in that new truck. That, or a FULL warranty that will take care of a stuffed axel when, not if, it breaks!
The stock LSD's really are that bad!

I have an 06 and I love it!!! Like jr 06 said the seats are the only thing I don't like. When you clean them you have to clean the whole seat, not just the stain, or it will leave water marks.

As for uspatriot, why don't you take your Dodge down and get you a Chevy. Why did you buy a Dodge in the first place? If you will do a Google search, you will find some Chevy forums, that you can talk all you want about your rock, but no one on here wants to here it!

I am moving from Chevy to either Dodge or Ford because of unreliability with my '96 Chevy. This year alone, $700 to replace fuel pump, $1,800 for transmission rebuild just last week, and it's still not right, etc., etc. I really can't knock the fuel economy, 19 on highway, and 13.x pulling my travel trailer (when it pulls it!). BUT, economy my hind leg - if the thing breaks down on you, gas mileage is meaningless!

If the Rams are as good as my '93 3.9 L Dakota, then Dodges have to be great. The Dakota has pulled the same trailer about 10 times as far as the Chevy, and pulls it better. And, I have only had one minor transmission issue with the Dakota, a $400 repair and it is still going strong.

I don't think I will ever get another GM product, unless of course, GM and Chrysler merge - now that's a whole 'nother story...
