Default $1.88 per gal of gas

why do people still complain about gas mileage when the average gas price is $2.40 and as low as $1.88 in some places

When you take into account inflation, gas is actually cheaper today relative to in the 50's when you consider the strength of the dollar and wages people were making then compared to now.

The reason we perceive it to be such a problem is because:
1- All we see is the "number"
2- We depend so much on our vehicles and drive too much
3- We own Hemi's!

Either way, enjoy the prices while you can. If you think this is bad, I fear for you once this winter is over...
