tonneau cover help

Default tonneau cover help

so i bought a tonneau cover off some guy on craigslist for 45$ and now im having a tough time putting it on i got all three sides and the back snapped up but the front is rediculous any advice to make it easier as in like start at the front sides ect, im at my girlfriends house and am gunna be leaving tonight and would like to get it fully on before i go thanks

It's a pain in the *** when it's cold out, my dad has a soft tonneau on his dakota. Heat it up inside or at the very least let it sit in the sunlight so the fabric can stretch before you even bother. Judging by the snow in you pic, may be kinda hard this time a year for you to try the sun method.

speaking of covers i have a leather tonneau cover for a short bed and i dont use it ,it came with the truck but i have an over rail bed liner, if anyone is interested let me know.

You will have to find some way to heat it up! It will be alot better to work with when it is hot.

so just let it sit in the garage by a heater for a while, i have all the snaps excpet the front row, can i drive home with that on 60mphish or will it come off?

Sitting by a heater would work great! I am not sure if it would blow off or not! I would'nt think it would.

alright well im gunna give the drive home a test and ill post wether i still have a tonneau when i get home or not and then ill do the ehater trick

I would snap the front first.

Warming up the cover helps except for the fourth side. I use a hair dryer for the last snaps. This allows enough give in the material.
