The 2006 Ram major feaures per my Master Tech update (I'm a dodge tech):

- the Multi displacement system in the 300s etc will be on the 1500 model only...not 2500 or 3500.
- the 4x4 1500 will have a front axle disconnect feature that completely disconnects the driveshaft in the xfer case...not sure on the real benefit but eh...
- the 1500 2wd models will dump the crappy aluminum a arms for a stamped steel one with a servicable ball joint (yes!)
- the styling is apparently ONLY on the mega cab for now ...not sure about 2007 though...wouldn't surprise me.

EDIT
- the 6.1 will only be in the SRT-8 model grand cherokee and possibly in the HD trucks...not the 1500
- the mega cab 1500 will only be offered with the 5.7 hemi

I'll have to agree with some of the others on this thread.....its a beefed up Dakota.....for more $$$ NO THANKS...I'll stick with my 05 Diesel!

 

Awe MAN I just Puked. That looks awful. The back door looks bigger then front door. It looks goofy. I’m going to stick with my 2005.

 

My vote is for the 2005. I'm glad I got mine before the model year change. To me the proportions of the bed to the cab on the 2006 don't look right.

Saw the new O6. Pictures here looked ugly, in person it is another game!
I like it!!!! Dont know if it is worth the extra 5-6k ( I think the go for that much).

 

I'll deffinitly be stickin with my 04 ram, i hate the looks of the new 06 mega cabs, if i wanted a dakota/durango look-a-like, i would go buy a dakota or durango. nice try for dodge, but i like then 2nd and 3rd gens the best

 

2005. The 06 is as ugly as the new dakota.

 

Keep me in mind, the new 06's arent all Megacabs...
THey have reqular quad cab as well and it looks really good.I will try to post some pics..
