loud fan?

Now that you mention it, mine seems like it does take a while to warm up.

How long does it take your guys hemi's to get up to normal operating temp and also what temp does it run at?

when the air temperature outside is cold
the silicone fluid inside the fan clutch
will have to warm up before it starts letting the fan slip

the clutch itself should not lock up until the air flowing past it
goes over 220 degrees

If by chance a previous owner has replaced the factory fan clutch
with a 'heavy duty' replacement
many of those clutches lock up at 140 degrees

Hopefully the rain will hold out and Ill be able to take a look, is their anything I should look for to see if I have the "heavy duty" replacement?

btw... this morning was 53F outside and from the time I started the truck up and started driving it took 11mins to get up to operating temp(one needle mark below the half)...is this normal?
