i looks like there either arnt that many programmers for 02-03 rams with 4.7, or not that many people with tuned 02-03 rams with a 4.7.


Any programmers to suggest, im looking for one that changes the shift points and firmness, and a little HP/TQ increase.

 

Superchips supports 02-03 Rams with 4.7 V8. It will change shifts and add power on pemium fuel.

I love SCT tuners, I have an SCT Xcal 3 on my mercury marauder and I love it, but it was also tuned by someone who KNOWS thier way around marauder's


Whos putting the tunes in these? Are they generic 1 size fits all 4.7's??

 

Superchips has "canned" tunes. Good for stock and mildly modified vehicles. If you need custom tunes SCT would be best.

 

sct when you buy it can put 4 tunes on it. Just tell them what ones you want. Like if you have cams tell them that and they will custom tune it. It is a very elaborate tune with them. Just give them a call and talk to them about it.

 

If you go with an SCT you would need to also pick up a WIDE BAND DATA LOGGER like our WIDE BAND COMMANDER. This will allow you to data log your WOT runs and then save/e-mail them to our tuner. He will adjust your AFR & Timing and send you a new tune to test. Data log that tune and repeat. By the 4-5th time you will start to really feel the gains cumming on strong.

I have a 2002 4.7L Quad Cab.

I ran a best of 9.91 with Stock Heads Superchips and H/O cams... There where other bolt on mods also... but those where the big ones.

Added Ported heads & 212 cams with Superchips and ran 10.2's. (LOST TIME)

Went with a "FLASH" from B&G Chrysler and ran 10.7's (Stock PCM ran 10.5's) (LOST TIME)

Went with a "FLASH" from TOM FOX and ran 10.0's / added SAFCII and ran 9.91's (GAINED TIME)

Added SCT and with only a week of tuning ran a best of 9.49's! (GAINED BIG TIME)

So with the SCT alone I went from a 9.91 to a 9.49 in the 1/8 mile... This is a QUAD CAB 4.7L running single cab HEMI times.
