Just installed alarm/remote combo SRT-9000
I purchased an SRT-9000 CodeAlarm remote starter/alarm combo from AutoAlarmPro.com It's awesome. (1 mile range OLED remote) They fully prep the wires and give you step by step instructions as well as all the zip ties and wire crimps/connectors you'll need as well as a mini tester. Complete kit and I haven't seen anyone out there that can compare. I paid $349 plus another $40 for the bypass module. Free shipping. They also included for free(limited time offer) a Telematics module so you can unlock/lock and remote start from your cell phone anywhere in the world as long as your car is in the US. I think that's awesome. It cam with 3yr free membership. Only $60 for a 3yr renewal when the time comes. It took me roughly 3hours to install taking my time while drinkin a few beers. No loos of any keys. I didn't have to take any door panels or kick panels off. Just the molding around the steering colum and that's it. It was so simple. I Highly reccomend these guys. The local audio store wanted $600 plus tax for the same set-up minus the Telematics and needed the car for 6hours! They provide Tech support if you have any problems and a best in the Industry Warranty.
I did see where you could buy this for $229, but that doesn't include any prep work, no custom install spec sheet, no Telematics and they only had the cheap bypass modules. The module I have controls the door locks and is fully upgradeable through a usb port. If you did want to save the extra money, I have the 15 page vehicle specific installation info for my 08 ram. I could scan them and email them to anyone wanting them. I would prefer you purchase from AutoAlarmPro.com I'm not affiliated with them, just a super satisfied customer.
From order placement to arrival was exactly what they quoted me...9 days.
