Well I finally did the lift and I couldn't be more happy. I wish I would have done it years ago. The truck looks and like it was made to have the lift. I debadged it as well so now it looks like a 1 ton truck. I bought the kit for $315 and my neighbor the mechanic put it on for $600. I didn't feel like messing with it and he knows his stuff and is a perfectionist. With the Mopar wheel well linners and the N-fab wheel to wheel step bars it hides the lift well. I will be wearing these tires for another year then moving up to 285/70R17. What do you think

 

Looks great man. I plan to put on the PA body lift soon too. I didnt know it would cost me 600 dollars to put it in, i might have to do it myself.

Thanks. The lift involves allot of little things that add up to being very time consumming. I've heard a few diffent prices while doing research and 600 seemed like a good price. especially since i know him and he does a great job on everything. You hear of some people getting a lower price and the shop tells them they would never do it again for that price. I recently read of one guy who got a quote for 1200 dollars. You could do it yourself but you better have a friend to help and some air tools and a pretty good mechanical ability.

 

Yeah I saw the DIY on installing it and it looked ridiculous. I put on my leveling kit myself but i think a body lift is a lot harder. But anyways, yeah when i readd your signature and saw ram 1500 i was suprised. It looks like a 3500. i also want some of those side steps you have. Where did you get them and how much??

 

Looks good man. $600 is a bit steep I think. A local off road shop offered me $400. I ended up doing it with a mechanic I knew for $50. Yup, 5-0 dollars US. Took about ten hours and a case to finish it. I decided to help work on it to learn as much as I could.

They were I believe like 600 shipped to my door. Mine are the wheel to wheel with a long box so they are big. they are just under 10 feet long. They are delivered on a semi. I just actually got a new set after I developed some rust and emailed the company. They told me with in seconds that they were under warranty and that they would send me a new pair. So they have some good customer service and want to make you happy. They told me they changed there powdercoating process so the rust thing won't happen again but if it does to call them back.

 

5 dollars and hour and a few beers aren't going to pay the mortgage. I do have a few things bolted to the truck that also had to be taken off and then reattached. I was fine with the price.

 

It only cost me a 12 pack of beer and a pack of smokes!

 

The truck looks good man. Getting ready to do a body lift myself. I think some clearance lamps would look good on the truck. Just an idea.
