im guessing thr trucks ran about average cus it says the only above average are the caliber and jeep patriot but even still that article is saying nothing but bad things for dodge really and it was the main article today on msn.com so im guessing alot of ppl saw that and it would detour your average car buyer from buying a dodge and if dodge doesnt start doing better in quality and sales they might not be around much longer. rumors of the viper being sold and dodge and gm merging arent good signs for the company right now i mean i love dodge but if they can only offer average to very below average cars and are behind on fuel economy to except for the ram with thier other best car only getting 30 mpg hwy compared to most other companies that have cars with 35 mpg hwy now then they may not be around much longer

A few things your not taking into effect. They are basing their ratings as a company whole! They aren't specifically saying reliability in breaking down per say but more so peformance equipt and any recalls that have been reported. Their definately twisting words there! The main thing about dodge products that give their ratings lower than average scores is the fact they try to beat Ford and Chevy by being the cheapest dollar wise vehicle. Dodge has some of the most stripped down cars available compared to any other maker. You cannot even get a Hyundai with crank windows anymore, but you can certainly get a dodge with one. Same with a/c...etc..etc...etc... That's what their ratings are based on.
People that buy those cars only buy them because it's what they can afford not because they would rather have a crank window car versus a Mercedes Navigation equipt car! They then start hating the car because they don't have the nicer car and then start degrading a perfectly good running vehicle. Not every car can be super comfy, completely loaded and be affordable. That entire write up from MSN was soley based on Customer likings. Not infact actual breakdown reliability. That's why I hate the news. Twisted unreliable facts! Bunch of gossip.

All american car makers are in trouble that's why theirs talk about surcharging forein auto makers more money to bring in and to make under their name here in the U.S. That's why Nissan is looking to buy Chrysler. They would beat that extra tax surcharge. It's one big loop hole!
At any rate, I do think Dodge has been pretty crappy with their products. Look at the early stage Dakota's. One word. JUNK! Look at what the Neon was... no need to go there AGAIN! Same with the oil guzzling neon framed PT Luisers.
I bought my truck because it's the best looking, best warranty and wasn't all soft around turn like the GM's and didn't have all cheap plastic wood grain crap that I didn't want to pay extra for! For the money it was the best buy. I think in the current economy, Domestic made vehicles are as good or even better than the forwin made vehicle.
I have a motto for people asking what kind of used car they should buy. I tell them go domestic, best bang for the buck. Honda's and Toyota's are just money in the bank. You pay outrageous money for no comfort or convenience for what? So when you sell it, you can get top dollar. Buy a domestic for next to nothing and you sell it for next to nothing. Low overhead. That's my theory!

i don't pay attention to these reviews they are very biased and take into account things that shouldn't be. after the time i saw a review rip apart a jeep wrangler for being a bare bones vehicle with rough ride and complaints of soft top noise at highway speed. i just laughed and never paid attention again.

EXACTLY! Like you didn't know what you were buying in the first place.
Those people need to stay in the office and not step onto the working mans playgorund...lol
Anyone I ever met, knew what the wranglers were about before they bought them and absolutely Love them. Never a bad word from a wrangler owner other than their 4cyl could have a little more oomph. That was the worst report that I heard about them. Besides, their made for more than just grocery getters like the people who write the reviews use them for!
