Low on Power Steering Fluid?

oh ok, I did check the oil and auto trans fluid a few days ago, the oil was fine and the trans fluid was all the way up to the top of the dipstick where it said "hot", it's just the psf thats not reaching the dipstick

Our PS fluid is ATF+4.

What do you mean? I don't get how the atf has anything to do with the psf.

Sorry, What I mean is that Automatic Transmission Fluid is used as Power Steering Fluid in our trucks. It is recommended in the manual.

So they are the same thing just in two seperate parts of the engine and used for two different functions? The atf was fine when I checked it, it was all the way up to the "hot" marker on the dipstick, its just the psf that didn't reach the dipstick when I checked today.

Check your manual, but my manual says to use Mopar ATF+4 ATF Fluid for the Power Steering Fluid, not "normal" PS fluid.

let me help simplify.

Use oil in the engine.
Use ATF trans fluid in the tranny,
Use ATF trans fluid in the power steering too

lol im having this same problem right now acutally gonna get it fixed tommorrow...but it started as a few black drops...and its get low every so often...and when i dump and new bottle in , i see it on the driveway the next morning after taking it out for a nice drive! so im sure i blew the pump dang it...
