Default Looking For A New Sound

Hey guys, I have always liked the way that diesels have sounded with that high pitched noise occurring as the RPM's go up. Is there anyway I can make a mod to the engine in order to get that high pitched sound so when I'm driving? I have a Spectre air filter on right now and when I have a cold start up I do get a pitched noise for about 5 or 6 seconds and then it goes away. Is there anything I can do to get this high pitched sound whenever I press on the pedal? (No, I don't want to buy a diesel haha)

Thanks

You talking about the turbo whine? You need a turbo then.

Yeah I think so, it's that high pitched noise that you hear from diesels as the driver presses on the gas pedal and the RPM's go up. If that is what I need, where would be a good place to look and are their certain brands to look for?

as far as my knowledge, noone makes turbo for our 4.7s, trust me, i would have it. i love turbo. my grandpas 300z has it and that thing moves. It would add around 100 hp if you have it tuned right. i think i recall someone in the process of making a turbo for 4.7s but i could be wrong. We're just gonna have to wait lol. o, and they cost around 4,000 big ones.

Superchargers are available though. You could custom fit a turbo but it's all a matter of how much you want to spend.

there used to be a bolt on turbo for 4.7s, but they got discontinued for some reason.

Yeah, I don't have a huge budget right now but what kind of performance would it give the truck, how much hp? And would it also give it that high pitched sound?

I believe a turbo or supercharger are worth up to 50% more power. It depends on the amount of boost. They both make a whining sound though.
