Newbie with a code question ?
Hi guys,
I have just bought myself a 2003 Ram, with the 4.7 Magnum.
Wee bit of an admission here, its my first ever Dodge !!
I am in Scotland, United Kingdom, so access to information, parts etc is kinda limited. As such, I was wondering if anybody could help ?
Had the Ram a week now and it is amazing ! I thought all my old T/A`s, Camaros and Blazers were good, but this is in a different league !
Anyways, started her up this morning and the check engine light stayed on. Did the key on/key off bit and it came up with this code.
P0441 Evaporative Emission Control System Incorrect Purge Flow
Would be gratefull if somebody could point me in the direction of where to check first. Pretty hands-on, so no sweat with getting the hands dirty, etc
Cheers guys,

Hi Mate.
Been a member on here for I think 3 years.
Have run a QC 4x4 Hemi all that time in the North East of the UK and the guys on here are brilliant!
As for your problem...........could be the gas cap???
Take the cap off and then re seat it tight.
Clear your code by disconecting the positive side of the battery and leave your lights/hazzards on for 10 minutes to bleed off any residual current left in the system.
Most importantly before reconncting switch everything back off, and then re-connect the battery.
Your code will have dissapeared and you have reset your PCM.
The truck will run a little rough for several minutes when you re start it as it relearns it's fuel/timing/air flow again.
It will settle down though.
Also, check underneath the truck near to where your fuel tank is.
You should see a 10 inch or so square box which is your chacoal cannister/EVAP lifter pump etc.
Look at the small rubber hoses that go into that area. On my hemi, there are two.
These tend to perish and crack. Mine did and I replaced them with some vaccum hose. The type that wont collapse when a vaccum is applied.
That sorted out my problem.
Hope all this helps?
Take care.
