hey all, this may sound like a newbie question, but how do you tell if you have a lsd differential? i bought my truck used and dont have a build sheet. i have read a lot of posts here saying they are a weak link. can you tell without removing the diff cover? btw my truck is an 04 qc hemi 4x4 sb. thanks carl.

 

1) There should be a sticker in your glovebox that will say Anti-Spin or Limited slip SAME THING
or
2) On the bottom right side of your rear axle it will say.. EXAMPLE-3.92 Anti-spin

If it doest say that then you prob dont have it.

 

from a dead stop floor it so the wheels spin, if both spin you have it, if only one spoins you dont. thats the more satisfying and fun way to find out. i think anyway. thats how i found out as soon as i got mine.

3.92 Axle Ratio
Corporate 9.25 LD Rear Axle
Anti-Spin Differential Rear Axle



Anti-spin is the limited slip unit.
