Remote start?
Mine has a range of about 1/2 mile. There are two remotes, one with an LCD screen, and the other doesn't have it. A little more expensive, but it says on the site it qualifies for insurance discount, so I have to check that out.
If someone wants to spend some money for a good one though, I'd look into the Crimestoppers brand. I really like mine. If you want to see it, crimestoppers.com, click two-way combos, and find the Super Page CS 2014 DPII.

Your not gonna get anything nice for $100. You'll need the bypass which is extra as well. I installed an alarm/starter combo and it only took 3 hours. It was super easy. All the wires needed were under the dash. I bought it here http://www.autoalarmpro.com/remote_car_starters They prep the wires for you as far as resistors and butt connectors. They give you a little test probe and give you step-by-step instruction for car specific vehicles. Their kits are VSS specific, so there's no relays involved. No cutting involved. Check
em out. An alarm combo will not take any additional wires to install other than the plug for the shock sensor!!! The VSS specific kits utilize the locks and starter disable all from the bypass module. I think I tapped into a total of 7 or 8 wires and that was it! Also, my remote buttons for lock/unlock work perfect and do not effect the alarm function as most others do. I bought the SRT-9000.
Also, check out the Installer Testimonials, I'm the first one up on the list!

It's $200 or so and not gonna happen by yourself. The dealer must use the Starscan to activate the function in the ecu. If you install it youeself it will need to be towed to a dealer and they will not guarantee that it will work. My dealer wanted $550 including installation/parts, but just remember one thing....The range on the factory remotes is TERRIBLE!!! My aftermarket remote works up to 1 mile away. I went to the mall a very big mall and didn't lose range until I walked into a department store on the opposite side.
