2004 quad 1500 power steering help
I have a 2004 quad 1500 4x4. The hose from the power steering pump to the cooler is leaking at the cooler end. I bought the truck used and when I did I noticed the line leaking at the pump cooler. That was 2 years ago and since then have had to tighten the clamp a couple of times. Well now it still leaks at that point its the return line. Would it be safe to cut the line about an inch or so and reconnect with a new clamp? Looks like I might have enough to do this. Or just go an buy a new hose. It looks like i would need about 2 feet. What size is the hose? 3/8 or half inch? I think the lining in the hose is bad and that is why it is leaking. I told Dodge when I bought the truck I wanted a new hose but they just put new clamp. Any suggestions? Just don't want to have the pump side start leaking.
