Default Side exhaust before rear tire

I really like the look of the exit before the rear tire, but I am not sure how loud it will be in the cab. If anyone has this setup, could you let me know if it has drone in the cab and what setup you have. I'm looking to get this done in a week or so and just wanted a few opinions.

Thanks. -CJ

dont do it unless you are looking to yell everytime you want to talk to a passenger. i had it done to my old ram and it was annoying all the time. it looks cool but is to loud in the cab. thats my opinion. i went with straight out the back this time not as bad

I almost did it but I chose a Thrush two-chamber. I was concerned about noise so I had exit out behind the tire. That was a good choice. It is loud enough as it is.

I went with the Magnaflow dual angled side exit before the rear tire. The cab noise is no where near what people ar describing. I'm sure it's slightly louder than one's that are out the back, but i don't have to yell at all when I'm driving. It's very mellow actually. I really like my Magnaflow. Also, no problems with carbon on the wheel as I was worried about either. I like it and would reccomend it . It was such an easy install too. 2 clamps, 1 hanger, 1 frame bolt with a hole that's already there.

DirtyDog,

What year is your truck? I have seen the magnaflow system on their site (http://magnaflow.com/02product/shope...ne=all&id=2826), but they say it is for 2006+ and I have a 2005 5.7. I wonder if there is that big of a difference where the 06+ system would fit on my 05.

I have a 2008. I don't know if the y-pipe is different. Maybe it's just the hanger mounts because they added a resonator in 06 compared to 05 to quiet the mds sound. I would check to see if a y-pipe is the same from 05-06 and if so, there's no fitment issues other than a simple hanger or 2 which is an easy fix. I have that same style but I have IFS front axle.

Just get this but it's for the 4.7L as I didn't see that. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Magnaflow-15891-SS-Exhaust-System-DODGE-RAM-TRUCK-04-05_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1638Q2em118Q2el1247Q QcategoryZ33630QQihZ002QQitemZ120334464877QQrdZ1QQ sspagenameZWD1V
Make sure it will fit with a tow hitch if you have one. They will take $545. I went through their feedback and seen they accepted that offer for the same system. I bought mine from them. Atleast it's a true dual look and is ALL Stainless. Check their other auctions out for your specific application if you have the 5.7L

Default Flowmaster Side Exit for 04-05

I have an 05 Hemi and was looking for the same thing. I found that flowmaster has a similar setup for an 04-05 2 or 4WD here: https://02c717d.netsolstores.com/ind...ROD&ProdID=641
