Yea I didnt think it was the best idea. But i figured it would be alright, it wasnt like I was pulling another fullsize truck out. And when i got stuck about a year ago, the tow truck hooked up the winch to my rear axel. So i thought it would be fine. I honestly didnt know where else to put it. Now i do though

Since when does a 2wd have a front axle? What did you really hook it to?

Its whatever is between the two front tires underneath the truck. It is attached to the suspension. Just no power to the front, but I thought it was still called an axel

Whoa yea don't attach straps to the K-member...putting a jack under there won't hurt anything though.

I just attach it to my hitch.

I am thinking about getting tow hooks though.

If i were to be pulling someone out in the future...could i hook it to the tow hitch?

Agreed on the jeep thing, 202hp isnt enough for a 4door jeep. I would have bought one big time if they had hemi's in them...convertible jeep hemi would be sweeet!

I've pulled a few trucks and jeeps out of sand and mud before using my hitch receiver. The one time I had to pull someone out where i couldn't back up, I tied up to my frame rails/bumper and my air dam got ripped off front the strap tension....I haven't replaced it since it almost $90, but I have front tow hooks now
