First question, at what speeds does this stalling condition present itself?
In my own history with my 2004 4.7, I stalled when at a slow crawl; turning into drive thru windows or pulling up and backing into a space very slowly.
To fix this issue, the dealer changed my idle air control module under warranty. Also I paid 80.00 to have the whole air intake system cleaned out, includes throttle body and all the other stuff and an air filter i bought from the dealer and installed myself. After the AIC was replaced and the area cleaned, it has never happened to me again in about 2.5 years, knock on wood!!!!! Good luck if you have any questions PM me. Also that exhaust leak should be under warranty.
