One year ago, had power steering hoses replaced power steering container was totally empty when i pulled into my driveway. Only reason i knew is because it was making funny noises when turning etc etc.
I had a heater core hose changed at the stealer a couple weeks ago; I was originally quoted @ 170 parts and labor ended up being 270 total and my engine temp guage went thru the roof. I just made it home when it hit the top and light came on. Long story short, I was 11-12 quarts short of coolant; they drained it and never refilled it. When they took out my air filter housing, they kept two of those clips that close the air filter housing; damn clips are $4.00 a piece. All in all I complained but only got my two clips replaced. I ended up putting distilled water in with fresh coolant now my truck runs hotter then before I had the service done. It used to sit couple of cm's to the left of halfway mark now it sits right on the halfway line. I HATE THE STEALER!!!!!!!!

Yea man i'm sorry to here that you had such a bad experience with your dealership. I always take mine to my dealer and they treat me like I'm king. You auta try a 5Star dealer and see the differance.

You probably wont get a survey for an oil change. and chrysler is changing the way they do 5 star and I think surveys are out but all can change. They should not have been rude or reved your eng like that. You should talk to the service mananger about that. You will probly get another free oil change. The only thing you did wrong was show the coupon at the end. thats also rude it cause's them the redo all the paper work. When you have a coupon show it up front it will save everyone time.

In almost all cases, coupons should be brought to the attention of the company/service ahead of the work (some even say that right on the coupon)...but even still, they should have been courteous to you....oh poor baby has to redo the paperwork...what is that about a 20 sec job?....gawd....well, they'll learn the hard way, when you never return - hahaha...I'd call and let the manager know you won't be back and why....this is how these boneheads learn...say nothing and the same will happen to the next guy, and so on, and so on....

As well, I'd love to know their reasoning for heavy revving...

Yea It may be a 20 sec job to change the paper work. But its still rude to drop it on them at the last sec. so if the cust is rude and the service writer is rude it's ok? Dont get me wrong service writers can be real jerks but so can the cust. some coupons state must be shown at write up. Yet a cust will show up late to pick up the car have a line of people behind them and complain they dident get there discount. because they dident show there coupon.

If you live in a major city, chances are good ( bad for you ) that two or three dealerships are owned by the same group. You do not get the best tasting cookies in the bag when you call to book a apointment, nor do the service reps have a clue abought anything othier than the maintance routine that you can read in your owners manual.

As for the oil changes, quick lubes have the bigger advantage, you can see what is going on, and the techs thier are just better, due to the wide range of cars/trucks they work on.

The big down fall of quick lubes is the up sell, but if you know your truck and stick to just oil changes on your time, your ok..

Courtasy Chrysler in Calgary Alberta sucks.

The best advice I can give the service departments are.

1. Put back my seat in the same place it was.
2. Don't rev up my truck, because you like my ex set up.
3. leave the radio, heater controls exactly as they were.
4. If your two busy to deal with me, don't pick up the phone and put me on hold.

I take my truck to the dealership for everything as i dont have alot of personal time for anything. 1 time they punched a hole in my dash to add a new switch, i calmly told them where they screwed up. They ordered a new dash piece and forgave the entire bill without question. My dealership is quite honorable and im rather happy to deal with them. Too bad there arent more operations like them out there.

I would have grabbed that little punk and dragged him to the service manager.

Fortunately I am friends with the dealership owner and service manager where I got my pickup. I just took my pickup in for its first oil change and they let me drive it in and drive it out. But he wouldn't tolerate crap like that--there would be fireworks coming for that kid...
