Sorry, if I wanted to save gas I would of never purchased a truck in the first place.

I am just wondering if I have to lower the shift points or is it just like this. it shifts ok any other time but only when I floor it.

I was just kidding....My wife has a Suburban so we are all about saving gas!! LOL

I was thinking about that SC as well. I would hope that this shifting thing is not the norm.

i am going to set the shift points lower because its still having that sec pause when I floor it and it shifts gears.

I hope this is not hurting my transmission.

yeah it will not really make much difference setting it to max rpms because its no real benefit shifting higher on the fairly stock engine. youll see on a dyno even if it did shift at a higher point it wouldnt gain any more power. you probably loose power at anything higher than 5600 or so. got to stay within the powerband areas of the stock engine. they allow for 6300 rpm shifting for those who do minor internals. i had mine maxed out and it would shift at like 5800. so i adjusted it to shift around there and it feels alot better at wot. no way of really knowing unless you throw it on the dyno. mine shifts really firm from 1-2 and then even firmer from 2-3. its normal. under wot its smoother but just putting around its hard. i was concerned at first but the more i looked around and talked with the sc guys i realised thats what its supposed to do. its hard but its nothing like stock where it almost feels like its slipping into gear slowly and softly.

I know this is an old post but I just picked up a sc 3815 and I am having this same problem. A hesitation between the 1-2 shift. Has anyone figured out why this happens? how to make it stop? thanks
