Remote start can't really be done on manual. Just like starting it, you need something to have the clutch in. I don't know much about that, but I'd assume that if it were in gear, it still might start up, and that really wouldn't be good. So in a manual you really can't. I wanted one in my old truck, but couldn't since it was manual.

What I have in my truck is a Crimestoppers Superpage CS-2014 DPII. I love it, but I didn't install it myself, it came on my truck when I purchased it. I just wish that they would make some sort of case that you can put over the fobs so that you can't hit the buttons when they're in your pocket.

Wrong.
I had a Carrol Shelby 2-way paging Remote Start/Alarm combo installed on my Mustang Cobra 5spd. It uses a parking brake overide in place of the clutch sensor. Manual transmissions suck for remote starting because you have to leave the vehicle in Neutral and engage the parking brake everytime. Here's the sucky part. EVERYTIME you exit the vehicle these are the step you must follow or at least with mine I had to so I never used it.
Before shutting the ignition off you must be in Neutral and have the parking brake set. Then you have to press the remote start function on your key pad and wait for the horn to sound. Then you can exit the vehicle and it is ready for the morning when you wan to start it. If those steps aren't followed, you cannot start your maunal trans. It's a PIA to go through all that every single time you turn off your vehicle. i would ask those questions before purchasing, but the manual trans starters are diff, so that must be stated when you buy.
