Default 08 4.7 Hypertech MaxPower Programer

Hypertech says their MaxPower and Econ Power programmers will work on the new 08 4.7 flex fuels. It says the 310 HP 4.7 only put out 242 Max and with their new tune it can put out 255 to 258. Can anyone verify this, anybody used it.

Also their Econ programmer is like 80 dollars cheaper, does it put the same tune on the ECU just without the changing of the options?

I think you will prob find that their HP gains are restricted more for higher revs and not through out the entire rpm range. That's what you should focus on since most of the time we are under the max rpm level. I look at what the power gains are from 2k-5k and that's usually what I base my perferences upon because that is the range we ar typically in. The different tunes may be effected by the octane ratings.

I have personally never had great results with Hypertech's products.

I have an 08 4.7 trx as well. I have a JET chip right now, non programmable, but you probably know about it. I noticced better and smoother shifts, more torque, and better mpg. But all are limited compared to any programmer. I plan to get the hypertech sometime in the future though
