about how much do rear end gears run you? and do you end up with better torque and smoother driving?

With 35 inch tires you will want to run 4:56 gears! You put in 4:88's and you will have more torque and power but you will see a loss in MPG! With 4:56 you will see a 1-2 mpg loss on the highway but a 1-2 MPG increase in the city! If you had 37" or bigger tires then yes I would say 4:88. I am running 37" tires and still love my 4:56's!!! They are the best mod to date! If you are going to get gears done then you should try to bargain with them to do a Auburn LSD or a Detroit Tru Trac at the same time! It will save you money doing it all at once! When I went to 4 wheel parts I talked them down to almost installing the Detroit Tru Trac for free since they were already going to be in the rear diff!
