Agreed with the gears. Dodge Nitto has about 6'' of lift and is running 37x13.5 mud grapplers and still manages 14mpg around town. I have talked to him quite a bit and his 4.56 gears were a great improvement after the lift that gave him better than stock power and MPG's. With a truck that is lifted 6'' tires that measure 37.1x14.3x20 he can out run his stock brethren's trucks. Pretty impressive that when adding that much size he can still out run a stock hemi. But I would suggest 4.56 gears with a detroit tru-trac for your truck. Probably would be your favorite mod after you felt the difference.

Anytime you do any mods engine or drivetrain wise you should reset the pcm afterwards. Even just a reset after a tuneup it helps a bit.

On a 2004 you pull out fuse #23 under the hood , get in the truck turn the key to the start position and hold it there and you will hear a chime and the pcm is reset. Put fuse back in and your done. Pcm is the engine computer.
