Did you put duals on it? Those will suck out your bottom end and all of your mpg right with it.

if you put your exhaust back to stock you wont floor it all the time just to hear it

to be honest with you, i just put an intake on and am not noticing anything. to me modding trucks wont do anything but eat away mpg. i never understood how adding things will change the mpg unless its re-gearing. the whole pt of hp is to burn fuel quicker. just my 2 cents

You lost backpressure and low end torque by opening up the exhaust, thus it takes more fuel/air to overcome the loss. The stock manifolds/y-pipe with a good cat-back like Magnaflow will make the best set-up.

Get rid of the FM44's if you want to increase mileage and performance. I have a cat-back FM50 DOR and my mileage didn't go up or really down. FM's are extremely restrictive to the point of where they are worse than stock. I will admit that they sound great but don' t flow worth crap. Look into magnaflows or AeroTurbine 3030's. IMO they still sound great, but flow alot better.

How can more air flow be worse on mpgs? As was explained to me, it's like blowing through a small straw designed for sipping coffee, and then through the hose to a vacuum. However, if you have lots of twists that will be harder for it to flow than a direct system.
