Neh. I respect you like your truck and want to make it faster, but if you take off the speed limiter with a super chips tuner, you can go alot faster in top speed then you think. (ALOT FASTER)
Save your money like me lol. I am looking into purchasing a slightly used 05 SRT 10 QC.
26,000 miles for 22k. Its all black and is sexy as hell. I also look at it as a collectors model as well because they stopped making it. Whatever you do have fun.

I am not going for extreme top end speed I am just looking for alot of power in my QC 4.7. After all I will be needing to turn 37x14.5x17 Toyo Mt's. Nothing like a QCSB 4x4 with 37'' mud tires that can go 0-60 in less than 6 seconds. lol I just really want to add power and I want to keep my truck for a long time. It is an 05 and is not til 45000 miles yet. I want to have it more than 200k.

-Trust me I am extremely mature for my age and have everything taken care of for the most part.

Does anyone know about the single plane intake? I have had it mentioned to me that I will need to have it with the supercharger, but I don't know alot about it. Does anyone know anything about what it does and how it functions?

I'm glad yo have all the specifics worked out but let me just say....Nothing ever goes as planned! Retiring by 53..lol that's what everyone plans to do, but then they want more, more, more.
Also, where do you plan to get 100k for a down payment? Money always comes out of the bank faster than it goes in!
Being very mature for your age is a plus, but let me just tell you, your far from mature. Once you have gone through and seen every obstacle that can happen and not blinded by your maturity, then you will be mature enough for what to expect or not to expect!
You do need to have some fun or you will end up like me, old yet still young. I too thought I had everything planned out when I was 19. I'm not even close to getting there and I'm 27. Sure I bought my first house when I was 22 and another at 24, but now I'm married and bills are racking up even with an income of $75k plus my wifes $60k things aren't exactly as smooth as they can be. i live comfortable for my money so there's cushion, but saving $100k is a fairytale my friend. maybe $10k, but that's it. I'm just trying to give you a little insight from someone who was there were you are right now!

I just sold My 97 Cobra. I had $25k into that car. It was an animal and was super clean. 473rwhp 468rwtq. I sold it and only got $12k for it. I would never do it again! It was the biggest waste of money i had ever done. Save your money and live with your stock truck. When you have your house and marriage, then start to play. Otherwise, you'll never get into a house and never be able to save up any money.

The nice thing about this economy is that it is great for people that are looking to buy houses. I love working around the house and you can get a forclosed house at a really good price. With the way that the loan market is you need to have at least 20% down payment to get a house even if you have great credit. No there is no way in hell that I will be buying a million dollar house but something in the 250k range would be nice. As far as the down payment I start working on the fire department when I finish my paramedics degree, which is in about a year, and at that point will be making roughly 53k. Since I will be working 24 hours and then have the next 48 off that gives me time to work another job and save more money. My fiance starts with the hospital, she is going into nursing, in the fall and they pay for her school much like the fire department is going to pay for mine. We still have 2 1/2 years before we get married and get to stay at home for like another year or two, which means we can put a good amount of money aside. Probably not 100k, but 50 or 60k would be great. And I know that it doesn't pay back but I am not planning to trade this truck is. I will keep it around, in the future, to haul trailors of move things as I plan on probably buying a car because I am going to assume that the gas prices will rise again. Obviously I don't have as many life experiences as you, but for my age I am doing pretty well. I am one of the 19 year olds where mommy and daddy dont pay for much outside of the roof I live under and some food. I guess what I am getting at is that I am way ahead of all the other 19 year olds that I know. I am not looking to make any enemies, I am just optimistic and have my goals set. Obviously stuff can happen, but if it is meant to work out then it will. Hard work shows itself over time, its just a matter of when.

Thank you for the info on the supercharger as well. Do you have any pictures of that cobra? My old boss has a 97 mustang that puts out over 800hp at the wheels. The only thing stock on that thing is the windshield wipers and yes I think that is way overdoing it. I will never spend over 40k in mods. Just probably 8k.

I am Eric by the way and fairly new on the site so I will probably be seeing you around as well. Teach me what you know is I guess what I am getting at. lol

And actually my dad worked on the fire department for 34 years and retired a couple years ago at 54. He has a sweet life now as he gets to sleep at home and make 60k a year, and that is after taxes are taken out. He also gets a 3 1/2% raise each year on the gross pay. The federal pensions in the hospital, police, fire deparments, and military are really nice if you can make the distance.

Thank you. I try lol Alot of people ask me about my truck and they alway make the comment "wow you have nice parents" and I always come back and say "yeah they have helped me alot. My dad once bought a quart of rislone when I was doing an oil change." I have paid for all my schooling, my $20k truck (after interest and tax/title), the 3k for the engagement ring, my weightlifting supplements, my fiance buys most of my clothing, and I take care of our food and her gas for her suv as well. I know what i want to do in life and am really focused. For someone that is 19 I think I am doing pretty well I guess. lol
