Default New Mods

It's time to start spending money on the truck. She's 100% stock right now and I want to know what kind of mods ya'll think she needs first (exhaust, filters, chips, etc?). Thanks in advance for the ideas.

I'm not sure exactly what I want. I'll be honest, at this point I don't know much about this stuff and I was hopin to get some good ideas, find one that I like, and go in that direction. I used to own a silverado and would take it off road all the time. The only thing I did with that truck was a 4" lift and some all terrains, never anything on the engine performance side. The ram will definately be used for towing in the future though.

If you plan on lifting you should get gears and lsd and tuner and cat back exhaust and CAI. And a lift and tires and wheels and fender flares and cab lights ... you got a lot of potential with that truck.

Hemipwr07:
why did you decide on the super 44 as opposed to others such as the 50 series? how do you like that leveling kit? any downsides from leveling it? Which K&N intake do you have? I was looking at the 63-1533 and 77-1533 intakes last night and also superchips flashpaq.

oefootball_70:
i was thinking about some new tail lights, and those cab lights look pretty darn good to me too. why do you say catback as opposed to flowmaster?

im just tryin to learn. thanks again for the help.

From what i hear a catback with CAI and tuner is the top 3 things that when done together produce the most noticeable gains

I think the first thing you should do is the levling kit. It's probably one of the cheapest things you will do to it as well and one of the best looking mods outside of putting a 6" suspension lift of course. You can get a 2-2.5" leveling for under $100 and if you do it yourself, you can have a lift under $200!

Nice truck and good luck!

First thing I would get is a used tuner. It will give you a great bang for the buck.
