If anything get the 50 series.

Ohh, fake duals= less flow put that together with drone's and you get the worst mod in history!
Flowmasters are soley a personal preference and have nothing to do with any performance increase. I swore on flowmasters and had them on practically everything I owned....Then I tried Magnaflow. SOLD. I'll never put another Flowmaster on anything I own EVER! The sound is just unmatched. Flowmaster is a hollow sound and other brands not just Magnaflow have a much more aggressive tone that is just unmatched by flows.
yes flowmasters dont help flow much unless you have a Delta Flow model. IMO magna flow is nothing more than a glorified glass pack. I cant see spending over $600 on that type of muffler kit.
Now, on a stock truck you don't want anything lower than 40's series muffler on your truck, IMO. Anything lower is designed for a racing setup. To me a stock truck running 10's 20's or 30's is someone trying to make their truck sound like something its not. Your muffler choice is mostly based on the sound you want.

i got flowmaster 40 series si/do 3 inch to dual 2.5's. they exit behind each rear tire at a 45 degree angle out. they have 3 inch x 18 inch slash cut tips. looks and sounds great. It does drone in the cab but i love it. i think it sounds great and its the perfect sound for MY truck (loud) at idle it has a nice crisp rumble to it and at wot it sounds crazy like a v8 should. i had a magnaflow on other trucks and they sound good but just wasnt the loud sound i wanted. best thing to do is go to a custom exhaust shop and ask them what they think and they will tell you what to go with according to your wants/needs. i hate to advertise this but on
d od ge ta l k. c o m they have a thread of just exhaust clips take a look and listen to what you like.
bro in law has the 50 series and it sounds nice but its not that loud. at idle you hear it a little, at wot it rumbles nice but doesnt have that deep over the top tone that the 40 has. exhaust is all about preference of sound/performance

So what do you suggest for a cat back with more flow, stock exit but not much more sound then stock as I don't like a noisey cab! I'm going to need a new exhaust before the next inspection due to corrosion so I would prefer stainless but not mandatory. Through experience dual exhausts with a crossover pipe are quieter then singles. Something to do with two smaller pulses at the tail pipe are quiter then one large pulse.

go with the 50. had it on my other ram. didnt kill me with highway drone. the others will definitely get to you with that. or if you want a really loud obnoxious exhaust, go with anything but the 50. ha

If you're looking for flow then i'll let the pics to the talking...the flowmaster pic is a 40 series delta (supposed to be one of the less restrictive FM's) and the magnaflow is just a SI/SO.

If you want loud with a decrease in cab noise, have the muffler mounted as far away from the cab as possible.

i would say the Fm is louder from the pics above. the fins push the air around to the sides and it vibrates around making the fm sound. thats my theory at least haha.. the magnaflow is a straight through design with more or less a glorified glasspack....
