Default Auburn tru locker

so im going with the 4.56 gears and lots of people tell me to get a locker also. out of these two what one would be better.

also if i dont go off roadin much is it worth it. and will a locker hurt my MPG?

it wont hurt your mileage, just your wallet. why do you want a locker? the ones you mentioned are more like what comes std for a lsd. it will just have less "slip". it will give you more of a locker like effect but its not a true locker. do you just want both tires to spin when you roast'em or a better launch. a lsd will have better road manners than say a detroit locker and will be nicer to your rear tires.

after thinkin about it a little more it might have a minor imapct on your milage, but nothing serious. the added drag while cornering could possible decrease your mileage, but so will that mcdonalds combo meal you just ate, and all the junk in your bed, flat tires etc.

i just re-read your post & sig.
running 35's with a full locker + hemi + heavy right foot + pavement = broken parts.
not that it will, but your improving your chances of drivetrain damage and by that i mean busted u-joints, broken axle shafts, pretzeled drive shafts.. stick with a lsd or stay open.

hahaha MD haha. but anyway i was askin because my truck is lifted with 35s. i do some off roadin but dont have much time right now. so its not really worth the money is what your saying. and i dont see myself getting stuck on the road haha just trying to get a lil mpg and with gears i can do that but i had to ask about the auburn
