It gets 14 inches of clearance in the front and 16 in the rear...if im running over anything bigger than that then I need to be in a tractor...not a truck.
Gets as much clearance as a stock truck...only difference is I don't have 3 inches of frame hanging below the body...my frame is even with the body...once again...yall have nothing to stand on when you say it is pointless.

Personally I think we could end the whole "pointless" discussion because the fact of the matter is pretty much everyone who is on these forums are interested in modding their trucks in some way. Some raise, some lower, some go crazy with lights, some black out their lights. And someone, somewhere, thinks that all of that is pointless. My wife for instance...

When I was in high school I had a lowered Isuzu pickup. Like aftbig says, it could do everything another similar class non-lowered truck could do...except go over a speed bump gracefully. But that was without any hydraulics or anything fancy. And I loved the look. Even today I can see a sharp looking slammed truck (I prefer the mini trucks over the full-size, but whatever) and enjoy checking it out. Today I like lifted trucks more. My tastes changed.

As to the topic of THIS thread, what is it that the OP was wanting to know? We have drifted so far off topic I don't even remember.

And aftbig, you said that you win Best of Show Under Construction...I'd love to see another thread on what future plans you have for your truck. Sounds like you have done a lot already and probably some things that even non-fans of the lowered truck could be interested in. What do you envision it looking like when its "finished".

BTW...welcome to DF!

Yup Deviate I agree. I thought that when he lowered it, it was going to stay like that. I didnt know he could raise it back to stock height. I too would like to see the future modifications he has planed for his truck.

To the OP... Im sorry for jacking this thread is a childish manor. My bad.

This will be somewhat the finished product...graphics will be different...that is just a quick sketch. The truck has a full frame...only stock part of the suspension/chassis. is the spindles (their modified) and the rear end. Everything else is one-off...totally redesigned. The truck is getting the first set of Intro Billet 2 piece Intro's 26's...should be here any day now...full sheetmetal interior...leather seats...every bolt and not will be either painter/powdered/ or chromed. I am currently dropping a 12v Cummins into it...the cummins is out of a 94...it has an aftermarket bigger turbo...and a fuel plate. It's matted to a 91 Auto tranny that has been totally rebuild and beefied up to handle the 280hp and 700lbs of torque the Cummins is putting out. Ididit billet steering column and a full JL Audio stereo...you'll see it on the cover of Truckin by the end of the year. Thanks for all the props on it...I apologize for getting confrontational...but everyone stereotypes my truck as being worthless or pointless...when it's far from it. Unlike many customs like mine...mine sees the road atleat 4 times a week. And not babying it...driving the wheels off of it. Just frustrates you when peopel judge you and your truck and they don't know a thing about it.

I was thinking about getting one of these for my grandmother, handicap accessible without the need for a ramp.
