i can sense your sarcasm here.
but if your serious it helped my mpgs by a about 1-2 mpg. doesnt really have much of a sound. i can hear it a little at wot but thats about it.( kind of like that with any intake system) It gave the flows a deeper throatier sound. im not going to sit here an say it made a huge difference in power but it felt like it had better response. overall i like it. i feel like an oddball because i went with this system over the k&n system or the other top manufacturers. i paid $200ish for this system a year ago with no problems.

I am not being sarcastic on this one. I will be buying a cai in the spring and have been stuck on which one to get. I am looking at the K&N FIPK, the Volant, and the True Flow XDI.

sorry with the way dirtdog bashes everything i have done i figured it was sarcastic. The 3 your choosing from were the ones i was looking at . i liked the true flow xdi causeit was sealed and it looked pretty nice. I got agreat deal on the volant rigth after xmas last year. last one on the shelf and they had it for $215 shipped something like that. im glad i got it. it really woke up my exhaust, performs nice and looks great under the hood. its not gotti looking with all the chrome and looks like it belongs under there.
just got done installing the superchips 3815 flashpaq on the performance setting and damn. I LOVE IT....... when i start getting to the internals ill step up to a sct tune but for now the sc is awesome....

I went with a mopar cai, i like it just fine. raiderjay6 went with a ram hammer that he swears by. I guess in the end it all boils down to how much ya wanna spend. In some cases ive read from ebay $50 units, you get what you pay for.

I didn't realize it removed the hat. That's the one I was looking at because of it;s appearance and was basically the only one with a closed of air filter which I really like! Do you have a part number of what you purchased? This is a pic of what I thought that I would have got, as you can see it doesn't have the same tubing. It's prolly a stock photo, but most ebay items are unreturnable or cost to much to even bother.

I may have to get one now!

Are you talking about the volant, K&N 77, or the TF XDI?

The Volant. I seen a pic on Ebay and another site that was selling it and it looked like it had a stright piece that attached to the hat. Not a 90* bend like the pic that was shown. i just need a part number just incase they have 2 diff one's.

For a $300 Cai I hope that it would remove those restrictive hats. lol Most all of them in that price range will from what I have seen. I just have been stuck between the volant, AEM brute force, K&N FIPK, and the TF XDI. Do you know which one has the largest diameter and greatest airflow?
