how doesnt the volant replace the hemi hat dirtydog??? the hemi hat comes off completely. a tube goes right from the throttle body to the filter into a new airbox. the new airbox has a intake tube that goes to right under the the headlight area. and also it takes all of 5 minutes to put the stock intake back on before you go in for warranty so there is no warranty failure. look at that pic dirtydog where is the hemi hat, air baffle?????

the one i have is for a 4.7l because i have a 4.7. i stand corrected, but i didnt know the 5.7l had a different setup. sorry hemi guys. well in that case dirtydog was correct it is a glorified stock airbox. if you get an intake make sure it replaces the hemi hat or airbaffle on the 4.7l as that is where the restriction is.

i have prodcut 16847... ill try to get pics. when i look at it it looks like it might fit a hemi too. thats a first, for a company to make something nicer for a 4.7l. haha ( weird they would keep hemi hat on on 5.7 but on 4.7 they get rid of it)

im going to indulge myself in the next 2 weeks or so and get a K&N after i get some work done on her, ive been wanting to do it for a while now but repairs have been getting in the way. the guy in town can get it for me for just under 300 i believe, at least thats what it was in the spring.
