2007 Power Wagon Stalling when cold
My 2007 Powerwagon (Hemi) with 20K miles has started stalling when cold and stopping at lights etc until it warms up. No MIL lights come on and it starts right up. The dealer could not get the problem to repeat this morning (surprising since it stalled at every light Tuesday). Dealer says the idle seems low and their looking into it.
I don't see any TSB for stalling except for 2005. Any ideas, have others had problems with cold stalling and any luck with repairs?

Gad, am I the only one with this problem?

The dealer just called and gave the phone to the tech - I knew then this was bad. The tech says the truck died on him three times this morning with no MIL light - which I think - good, they now confirmed a problem. Then he says so he down loaded the current TSB to re-flash the truck. However he continues, Dodge has a problem with the TSB in that it is actually for the 6.7 Diesel, so when in did the flash, if blew the computer .
Now it will be a few days to get a new computer, Dodge needs to send the new program to load, as he says the computers are generic and don't come with the programs installed. Then he says he will need the truck to verify the new computer/program actually fixes the problem with the stalling and low idle.
With 20K miles on the truck:
1st problem - three occasions truck will not start. Dodge finds no problems.
2nd problem - engine oil galley seals leaking, trans front pump leaking. Dodge repairs - takes months
3rd problem - truck stalls when cold, idle apparently low. Repairs in progress
Starting to think I should have bought the Toyota FJ Cruiser so I wouldn't have the headacks. A trade-in may be looming on the horizon, and I'm not looking forward to the wife saying I told you so.

What is going on at these friggin' dealerships lately? A third grader would know not to download a program for a 6.7L Cummins Diesel engine onto a Hemi gasser engine! What the hell did they expect would happen?
By the way, a good quick fix for a low idle is to install a cooler thermostat. The $15-20 thermostat will "fool" the PCM into thinking the truck is always still warming up, thus keeping the idle a bit higher. The only downsides to a cooler thermostat would be it'll take it a little longer for the heater to be able to push hot air in the cab in the coldest of climates and the PCM will richen the A/F mix a tad, resulting in a miniscule loss of fuel economy (but a tad better performance)...
