Smile MegaCab Newbie Question

Hi Guys:

I am thinking about getting a 2009 2500 Megacab Ram. I've read all the posts over the 1-2 years about the poor rear AC. Is this fixed or any better now? I have 2 kids to ride in the back and want to avoid alot of complaining about heat...I saw dodge added a set of vents under the middle cushion, but there are conflicting posts as to whether all trucks have these are only the Bucket seat versions have them..

Any advice or knowledge appreciated!!

Thanks!!

not sure bout it being fixed but i have an 07 1500 megacab and it keeps the back cool during summer. could also be because i have 5% window tint back there as well. would highly recommend the tinting.

I had a 2006 2500 MC 4x4 and the AC was terrible. I now have a 2008 MC, and this summer in Arizona was as hot as any, and it performed much much better than the 2006.

I also hade a Ram 1996 extended cab... now that blew ice, but as everyone says, the MC has an extra 5 acres of land inside so it is hard to cool. "BULL"

Honestly even though the 2008 was fine, I think they under engineered this system for these big trucks.

Having said all this, I am very satisfied with the AC output from my new one.

I have an'07 megacab 1500 which my 3 daughters ride in the back. We have had no a/c issues at all. Some camping trips are 8 hours long in July and August.
