Well I know for a fact Im working on the internals of my 4.7L, AirRam has cams, ARP Studs, cranks, pistons, and is working with a Whipple/Eaton Supercharger to mount onto the 4.7L, LOL....But thats why I want a Predator because you can custom your tune based on what you have
"the ability to alter your tune through the Predator, and the fact that we support custom tuning for the stroker guys, and forced induction or even just cam swap guys. "
But yeah glad your looking at American too lol, especially Dodge!

yes you can tune the 4.7l into the hemi power but you will end up spending about $5000 to do it, if not more in euro. the hemi ram comes with 345 hp and the 4.7l is around 235 hp. so to get another 110 hp from the 4.7l it would cost alot of money. i got the 4.7l and have started to tune and mod it and i have already spent about $1000 on parts and its not anywhere near hemi power YET ( that $1000 was superchips tuner,exhaust,intake).... so i would say go for the hemi to start with. all men will always want more power so start with the most dodge has to offer and go from there. i paid $22000 for a 2006 brand new 4.7l quad cab 4x4 ram (in o6) with 12 miles on it .

Order an H/O cam from airram.com. It is like $285 and will add 20-25 RWHP to your truck and alot more torque. Remember that torque is more usefull in our 5000+ pound truck than HP. Tq is going to beat HP off the line any day. Just look at regular cab hemi's getting smoked by quad cab 2500's with the diesel engine. The HP's of the 5.9L diesel and the 5.7 hemi are very close, but the tq makes all the power difference. Even though the 2500 weighs 2000 pounds more it will smoke the single cab hemi every day of the week. Our tq is only 85 different and that can be made up very easily. with a cai, tuner, H/O cam, headers, and magnaflow muffler you can easily smoke a hemi and not spend more than 1500.
