Nope, Doesent seem to bother it at all. I didnt get very good angles, but if you look straight in, it is above the cross bar, and below the top part of the grille, I was very carefull about getting them centered, and in the right spot

Ya know, the thing about the scoops, is that I was into them for a while, then i started to almost feel "cheesy" having a stick on hood scoop. I mean I've splurged good money all over my truck, on system, preformance, other interior and exterior parts, but thats all solid stuff. Everyone thinks they're real and functional.. but I always feel like a tool when I have to tell someone they are "stick on". Anyways, I've been comtemplating taking them off, but they really do look good, but thats it.
Anyways, to answer your question, they are "lund" scoops, most auto parts dealers carry them, or can get them, I think "eclipse" is a comparable company. Anyways, I got mine at my local Auto Zone. paid a shop $75.00 to paint them to match, and was very carefull lining them up, i measured and remeasured, and did the outline with chalk. They are also easily removable. they use a 3M tape to attach them, and the method I was plannin on using to take them off was to run fishing line down in between the scoop and the hood (to break the seal) then use paint safe goo gone to get rid of the left over tape. Hope this helps.. I've had them for 5 months, and am still torn..

Nice truck. I'm thinking of doing the lights behind the grille as well. Do they really help you see past what the high beams can see?

Mine are down low, but I can add to the praise for them in addition to the headlights. I've been on quite a few road trips with them and prefer to drive at night when on the highway. In the middle of the night when there is no one else on the road, I've driven with them on for miles and miles at a time (no oncoming traffic, or enclosed on both sides by trees). It lights up in front of you like daylight far enough down the road to not have to worry about over-driving them at sane speeds. When I finally turn them off, however, it appears like you have two dim candles out in front of your vehicle... even with the brights on!

i know how you feel there about them being fake but it is a nice alternative as getting a brand new hood would be pretty expensive to do... my only thing is i would like it to be a smooth transition form the scoop to the hood and i think it would be neat to have though it really sets the truck apart from others
